SOCIAL HEALTH: A POWERFUL BOND

Social health involves the ability to form satisfying interpersonal relationships with others. It also relates to your ability to adapt comfortably to different social situations and act appropriately in a variety of settings. Spouses, co-workers and acquaintances can all have healthy relationships with one another. Each of these relationships should include strong communication skills, empathy for others and a sense of accountability. In contrast, like being selfish can have a negative impact on our social health.Overall stress can be one of the most significant threats to a healthy relationship.


The social determinants of health (SDOH) are as follows:
1) Economic Stability
2)Health care
3)Neighborhood environment
4)Education
5)Social and community Contest
The above image shows the factors that are affecting the health and its well being. If we remain unfit by any of the above means that we aren't completely healthy, as we know the definition of health. Health is a state of being physically, mentally and socially fit then only we can say that the person is healthy!!!!!

Factors affecting/disturbing the social health:
MENTAL STRESS
Competition has increased in opportunities for education employment and business, due to increase in population. Children are facing the problems of loneliness and mental stress due to reasons like nuclear family and parents staying outdoor due to jobs.

There are many bindings on girls and excessive freedom for boys in some families boys enjoy the concession from their domestic duties whereas girls have compulsion for the same on the prefix that should be used to it.Everyone has to face the stress due to ever increasing disorder crime and violence. At the same time people looking at this as, "fast and easy way to making money." May become scapegoats and become part of such system. This is the deadly effort of social illness.
ADDICTION
Peer group influence is stronger in case of adolescents. Adolescents always prefer the company friends and follow their good or bad habits instead of following advice of parents and teachers. Children in their early age group try upon tobacco, cigarette, gutkha, alcoholic drinks, drugs, etc. due to either peer pressure group or as an imitation of elders. It may also lead to addiction of such substances and deteriorate the social health of the person as well as affects the physical health also.
